Medicine Hat Big League Baseball Association

We are the Medicine Hat Big League Baseball Association, a registered non-profit society. Our prime objective is to promote a quality baseball program for the youth of our community. We presently field three teams that compete in the Alberta-Montana State American Legion program and Baseball Alberta.

Our program consists of 14 to 19 year olds, who have graduated from our local Little League program as well as minor baseball systems throughout the area.

We assist wtih the four local high schools with their baseball program, camps, clinics, tournaments and other learning activities. We continue our support of the local Little League program. Our coaches and players assist with coaching seminars for Little League coaches and other interested parents.

One of our proudest services is the scholarships we award our graduating players. The recipients of the John Ignatius scholarship, named after a local area rancher, who supported our program is given to players who have graduated through the Big League program and go onto post-secondary institutions.

Many of our graduates have gone on to successful careers in college and university programs in both the United States and here in Canada. Many of our alumni have returned to Medicine Hat and now assist in both the Little League and Big League systems.
